Department of Commerce and Management


The global campaign is coordinated by Consumers International, which selects a theme each year to address current

consumer issues. Governments, organizations, and communities organize awareness programs, seminars, and

campaigns on this day. The celebration encourages fair trade practices and ethical business behavior.

It also educates consumers about making informed and responsible purchasing decisions. World Consumer Rights Day

plays an important role in strengthening consumer protection laws worldwide. Overall, it empowers consumers and

promotes fairness in the marketplace.

  3. Empower consumers with knowledge.

  4. Encourage ethical business practices.
